Hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) technology has helped hundreds of thousands of car buyers reduce fuel consumption and emissions, and now it's the turn of trucks and commercial vehicles used in construction. Accordingly, several Chinese companies - Efficient Drivetrains, EDI and Shannxi Automotive have teamed up to develop the world's first truck mixer with PHEV technology.

 It topples the previous record of 86m, held by Zoomlion’s rival in the concrete pump industry, Sany. Prior to that pump, Zoomlion had been the holder of the record, for an 80m pump.

The feat was a result of co-operation between Italian and Chinese engineers, and was unveiled at Zoomlion’s headquarters in the industrial city of Changsha, China, at the end of September.

Putzmeister America, Inc. will introduce its new 47Z-Meter Truck-Mounted Concrete Boom Pump at the World of Concrete trade show in January 2017. The innovative pump will feature a new design for its pedestal and five-section boom for increased maneuverability, reduced overall weight, and a more user-friendly design.
